ENGINEERING PROJECTS

Counter Rotating - Dual Rotor Multi-Stage Wind Turbine

Senior Design Project - Aug 2015-May 2016
As part of a team of five, we were tasked with designing, building, and testing of a Multi-Stage Wind Turbine. This prototype holds multiple generators within the turbine tower. The design eliminates the limited power generation capability of conventional wind turbines due to nacelle space. A scaled down functional prototype was built and tested using a wind tunnel. After completion of the testing phase, a mathematical model was developed.
Project Mentor - Dr. Salim Azzouz

Hydraulic Off-Road Utility Vehicle: Bearcat Motor Club - University of Cincinnati

As a part of a team of five engineering technology students, assisted with the design and construction of a three wheel lightweight utility vehicle, which ran on electric and hydraulic power.
